Based in Melbourne and working with organisations across Australia and internationally, Wendy Jenkins OAM is a certified resilience coach with a strong corporate background and extensive experience delivering both in-person and online resilience programs.
Before founding Ready Resilience, Wendy spent many years in senior human resources roles, including leading multiple HR teams at Shell Australia, where she developed expertise in organisational performance, leadership behaviour, and workforce wellbeing. She brings this real-world corporate understanding into every workshop, using clear science-based frameworks and relatable storytelling to help teams grasp and apply the neuroscience of resilience in practical, actionable ways.
Wendy is also no stranger to change and adversity. As a newlywed looking forward to her next chapter, she was diagnosed with a life-threatening lung condition and given two years to live without a rare and risky lung transplant. While fortunate to receive a donor match, the transplant resulted in ongoing complex health issues that changed the trajectory of her life and ultimately led to severe depression and PTSD.
This experience ignited Wendy’s commitment to understanding the science of resilience and how the brain and nervous system influence our capacity to adapt, regulate, and thrive under pressure. She supports forward-thinking organisations to strengthen psychological safety, improve emotional agility, and build cultures where people can perform at their best.
Eighteen years post-transplant, Wendy is a certified resilience coach and instructor, sought-after speaker, and purpose-led founder who has delivered resilience programs to leaders, teams, and organisations across multiple sectors.
Wendy is also the co-founder of the Lungitude Foundation, a registered Australian charity, and was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in 2022 for her contribution to community health, particularly lung transplant research.
